United

It's been a good time for me these past few weeks ingame, if not on a personal level. I still haven't managed to find a job but I have had lots of practise CV writing....hopefully some benefits may be found down the line.

I joined a new Guild called United By Blood, and to be honest I couldn't be happier. The guys are some of the sweetest, friendliest and most downright helpful people I have ever met, ingame or otherwise.

They are attached to a raid force called Cerberus, and after I got accepted to that on trial I finally got to run some 25mans with them on Bella my face-smashing pally. I'm pretty low down the totem when it comes to invites but it all seems fair, and on the occasions I have run with them I've down 7/14 Ulduar 25 and got the 10man achievement for the Trial Of Champions....which was a total ballache.

(Quick shout out here to Thalindra my class leader, who is too cool for school, and a bloody nice bloke to boot :) )

So..ToC...

My only beef with this instance is that the Faction Champions are completely random: - the difference best illustrated by the fact that last week we struggled to get past it because of having a Shammy and a Druid healer against us, yet this week it was a Pally and the Druid and we totally annihilated them. What's even more irritating is that the Beasts, Jarraxxus, the Twins and Anoobarak are pretty easy fights, certainly a lot easier than a lot of Ulduar.

So....meh.

I'm not having any luck with the lootgods either, and I'm still running round with the Edge Of bloody Ruin and a blue belt. The belt is explained by the fact it has expertise on it, and precious few pieces of loot anywhere seem to be able to compete with it stat-wise.

Hopefully I'll be posting a little more frequently so all I can say is....it's good to be back :)

Cataclysm Flying Preview

Here is the link as the image doesn't seem to want to display

Only joking, my pc crashed while flying over Wintergrasp when I was rushing to make a pug in Dalaran. I relogged only to find myself over Darkshore, still flying :) Unfortunately I forgot to fly to Orgrimmar to take some screenies as I thought my game was completely fucked.

Snatch Wars

Not as bad as it sounds trust me.

You've probably already seen it but it's worth another look:

I present an unholy mash up of Star Wars and Snatch! If only all Hollywood films were this good :)

Loads of stuff incoming when I've finished all my job applications..*sigh*

Pally stole my blog!

Oh wait...that'd be V2.0. Do I really have to update my link list tho? :(

MMMM...dashboard. I like.

First impressions very positive tho so massive props to the G and the eMCe.

Recent updates from me :

Inspired by Jong I dusted off my level 62 Pally and levelled her to 80. I was doing OK until I woke up one day and someone had stolen about 600DPS from me. That thief's name is Arena *raises fists to the sky*

We can't be about burst now apparently. Exorcism now has a 1.5 sec cast time. Crusader Strike has had its pants pulled down. I did a heroic one day and was literally dumbfounded by recount. I resigned myself to some serious theorycrafting ( well other people's anyway ) and set out to the test dummies with my head bowed and my lip trembling.

Result: 2300dps on a Heroic dummy. Nearly 1000dps more than I ( rather shamefully ) managed in the Heroic. I realise that I was running a lot more in the instance and being silenced/sheeped/generally fucked around but I was also shy of a few DPS buffs on the dummy that I had. I also completely changed my rotation and a couple of glyphs, and treated myself to some T8/9 (?) leggings and the Darkmoon:Crusade card.

Now I just have to get a new Libram..cloak...neckpiece...chest...trinket...*sigh*

Hopefully at least I won't embarrass myself anymore though :)

The key is imo to use SoR on trash and then SoV on bosses, and place Crusader Strike waaaay down the list of priorities now. It's still a classic FCFS rotation but get the Judgement in first, then by the time you hit 5 stacks of SoV your Judgement should be ready to go.

But what the hell do I know?

It's good to be back DB

Carnage

Hi guys sorry I haven't been blogging lately, as I've just moved into my second flat in 4 weeks. Finally got all my connections sorted so I should be ready to re-enter the 21st century...shortly.

Incoming photos and vid from some carnival and random stuff that has happened too.

Good to see Marilyn is still working hard too :), good luck with the bugtesting mate!

and finally....Patch 3.2

Will the world end when it is applied, and how many DKs and Pallys are crying bitter tears in their sleep?

Watch this space.

Try This At Home

It's my second to last day at work. THere is a shit tradition here that when a person leaves or has a birthday or whatever THEY have to bring in food/cakes for the rest of the office. I managed to avoid it when it was my birthday but not this time. WTF is that about?

Needless to say I made my way to the shops last night and bought the cheapest "no-brand" biscuit selection I could find.

What else do they want? Blood?

Got sent this at work though, awesome video - I'm sure it won't be up long so get it while it's hot :P

It's going to be a good day - don't even have to pretend I'm working now really :)

15 Trips And A Love That Won't Die

This week is going to be my last blogging for a while, more out of necessity than anything else. I'm moving house this weekend so it's going to be crazy for a couple of weeks minimum. All my paperwork/insurance shite all needs to be renewed to so I need to get my arse in gear.

papersuck

I'm also getting bored of WoW, bored of the people on my server and bored of infantile arguments about nothing in particular. It's amazing how worked up some people will get about this game, and I find it pretty sad tbh.

Let's hope when I get back V2.0 is "working as intended", and more people are back here blogging. We seem to be losing people at quite a high rate but I guess that's not surprising given it's summer and the weather plays a big part in people finding other things to do.

I'm thinking of bringing Jeri/Beef back from Veknilash to ER as my gf is nearing 80 with her DK and wants a couple of cool mounts, so I have said I will run her through Sethekk Halls for Anzu and MGT for the White chocobo. I kind of lost interest in playing him for a while ( sorry Romance :( ) for a number of reasons, and now my raidforce needs a feral so I may cave in and pay yet more money to a game that is slowly dying :) Maybe I should charge my gf half the transfer fee :)))

Anyway take some pyschedelics and get your freak on to the delights of Monster Magnet and the mighty Jefferson Airplane.

Monster Magnet - Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

The "love that won't die" bit is of course referring to DB :)

Rossi Pwns Lorenzo

Anyone catch the MotoGP this weekend? It was one of the best races ever, with one of the best final lap contests you will ever get the chance to witness.

Rossi Lorenzo

My dad used to take me to watch motor racing of all kinds, as he used to race himself, along with my uncle. I've been lucky enough to get in the pits at a Formula 1 race, a Moto GP race, a WSB ( World Superbikes ) race, a Touring Cars race and last but not least...Le Mans.

As I'm celebrating my dad I thought it only fitting that one of the best races ever was on this weekend, and natural order was resumed when Rossi took it on the line, but make no mistake that Lorenzo has more than drawn a line in the sand. My dad would have loved it :()

Here is a vid ( no idea of quality sorry ) of the last lap if you like racing

British GP this weekend for F1 fans. I can almost guarantee it will rain.
